ROSA: Production of Russian smartphone R-FON launched in Saransk
MOSCOW, Sep 22 (PRIME) -- Russian company ROSA started producing national smartphone R-FON on September 11 in the city of Saransk, the capital of the republic of Mordovia, and writes drivers for all hardware components of the device, the company said on Friday in a statement.
“The surface mount of boards of R-FON, its factory firmware with operating system ROSA Mobile, and entire manufacturing of the smartphone started on September 11 in Russia at the facilities of (computing equipment producer) Ruteq in Saransk,” the company said.
“To reach maximum confidentiality of user data, to make the smartphone protected against spy attacks…the engineers of the research and technology center of information technologies ROSA, developer of the mobile operating system, write drivers themselves for all hardware components of the smartphones,” the firm added.
The serial production of R-FON is fully made and controlled by Russian specialists and guarantees a high level of confidentiality.
ROSA said earlier that the smartphone will be offered on the market at the end of 2023.
